1 January 2015 to 31 December 2018 - PROJECT CLOSED

Cooperation with the history research group at FBK (ISIG), led by prof. Paolo Pombeni, whose main research topic is the study of major historical transitions.

Goals

The goal of the joint project is to enhance historical research, in particular the analysis of political discourse, with state-of-the-art IT technologies. In the first stage of the collaboration we focused on the writings and speeches of Alcide De Gasperi. We are now extending the platform with new corpora, e.g. presidential speeches.

While the first platform version was an internal FBK initiative to foster collaboration between ICT center and ISIG, the project is now funded by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio delle Province Lombarde and Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Trento e Rovereto till October 2017.
